Overview:
California Wonder pepper is a very popular vegetable for the home garden because of its flavor! They grow deep green bells about 4″ across that turn red at full maturity, which takes about 75 days. They grow upright ever-bearing plants that are 24″ tall. Perfect for salads or stuffing
Growing Instructions:
Sowing: Start seeds indoors about 8 weeks before the last expected spring frost in your area. Plant pepper seeds 1/4″ deep and keep the soil temperature 80-85°F until germination. When outdoor temperature reaches 60-65°F and no lower than 50°F at night, transplant seedlings 12-16″ apart. Hardening plants for several hours a day before transplanting may help prevent shock.
Germination: 10–20 days at 70–85°F.
Care: Keep the soil evenly moist and weeds under control, mulching the plants may help with this. If heat becomes excessive provide shade to prevent wilting of the peppers. California Wonder peppers adapt to many soil types.
Harvest: 60–80 days from transplant. Pick green or wait for red.
