Overview:
These solid tomatoes weigh about 3 Oz and grow on compact vines. This easy to grow variety bears heavily until frost. They take about 78 days to produce ripe tomatoes. Ideal for sauces and canning.
Growing Instructions:
Sowing: Start indoors about 6-8 weeks before the last frost in your area. Sowing the seeds 1/4″ deep and 1″ apart. Keep temperature at 70-75°F until germination. As well as providing adequate light and keeping soil moist. A week before planting outside, begin exposing them to the weather during the day to harden them. Tomatoes cannot endure cold weather and should not be planted outside until all threat of frost has passed. When soil temp reaches about 70°F, plant outside in full sun.
Germination: 6–14 days at 70–80°F.
Care: Since temperatures below 55°F can damage production, protect the plants if temperatures drop. A thick layer of mulch can prevent weeds and help maintain moisture. Water plants once a week but avoid getting the leaves wet. Bush type tomato’s do not require staking.
Harvest: 70–80 days from transplant. Pick when fully red and firm.
